With the addition of an ULTRASONIC POWER cleaning system at our repair shop, we can thoroughly and completely clean your instruments inside and out. We do NOT use harsh chemicals such as muriatic acid, bright dip or Etch-Klenz. Instead, the ULTRASONIC POWER uses a mild, non-toxic detergent. The cleaning process relies on the ultrasonic (sound waves) to dislodge all of the dirt and debris that has accumulated over time. When the ultrasonic cleaning is complete, your instrument is bright, clean and will have smoother action as a result.
We recommend cleaning brass instruments—trumpet, cornet, trombone, baritone and French horns—once every year. Saxophones, flutes and the clarinet family of instruments (if they are made of composite material) should be done during the re-pad process. If the saxophones have treated pads, cleaning can be performed while still assembled.
